July 14th – Bastille Day
Over 231 years ago, on July 14th the French had finally seen a turning point in their revolution with the storming of Bastille. The fortress that once held prisoners freed soldiers ready to fight for an uprising. The fall of Bastille was celebrated in 1790 as the Fête de la Fédération and throughout the years continues to celebrate France’s constitutional monarchy and new unity.
To embrace this French affair, below we share our favorite spots within the Chicago and virtual festivities.

May 30 – SpaceX’s Falcon 9 Successful launch
Congratulations to the Dragon Crew and SpaceX’s Falcon 9 for a successful launch on May 30 from Concierge Unlimited International.

On Saturday, May 30 at 3:22 p.m. EDT, SpaceX’s Falcon 9 launched Crew Dragon’s second demonstration (Demo-2) mission from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, and the next day Crew Dragon autonomously docked to the International Space Station. This test flight with NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley on board the Dragon spacecraft returned human spaceflight to the United States.

May 12 – Blue Angels Fly Over Chicago
Blue Angels to fly over Chicago – US Navy Salutes Health Care Workers – May 12, 2020
CHICAGO (WLS) — The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will salute first responders and other essential workers as they fly over Chicago Tuesday.
The world-renowned Navy pilots have been paying tribute with a series of flyovers in major American cities.
The flights will be funded by existing operations costs as part of the groups community outreach programs.
The Blue Angels have announced the times and flight path for their salute.
The 15-minute flyover will begin at 11:45 a.m. as the Blue Angels fly west from the lakefront over Chicago’s South Side, then southwest over Oak Lawn before turning northward and flying back over the city’s Southwest Side, including Gage Park and Back of the Yards.
The flight path will then take them from the South Loop to the Northwest Side by 11:51 a.m., turning south near Norridge and flying over the near western suburbs of Franklin Park, Northlake and Melrose Park.
The Blue Angels will then head east over Oak Park and the city’s Southwest Side before heading north along the Kennedy Expressway. Cutting across Chicago’s North Side, the pilots will make a loop over Lake Michigan near the Evanston border, then fly south along Chicago’s entire lakefront around noon.

TOBY Regional Winners 2020
CUI wishes to congratulate all of the BOMA/Chicago winners for the BOMA Regional Awards for 2020. In the commercial real estate industry, the TOBY Award is the most prestigious and comprehensive award of its kind, recognizing excellence in office building management and operations in specific categories of building size and type. All regional winners first won on the local level after thorough building inspections and a rigorous written application process.
The regional winners will proceed to the international competition. International winners will be announced in June at the TOBY Awards Banquet as part of the BOMA International 2020 Conference & Expo in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The following winners are: Lavin Family Pavilion, 1 North Dearborn, 110 North Carpenter, Harold Washington Library Center, The Rookery, 1515 West Webster, 401 N. Michigan and 70 West Madison.
