Beaujolais Day at Le Bouchon, Nov. 21, 2019
CUI Recommends
The son of the famous chef, Jean-Claude Poilevey continues the tradition:
Le Bouchon is serious about our Beaujolais. We love the energy, structure, and pure deliciousness that the Gamay grapes produces in this region. Unfortunately, most people only know Beaujolais for the bubblegum tasting, no character having Beaujolais Nouveau. So to celebrate Beaujolais Day (always the 3rd Thursday of November) we will be hosting a Cru Beaujolais Dinner. We put together a 5-course tasting menu, complete with pairings from all around Beaujolais, for $100/person. Regular menu will be available as well. Please join us this Thursday for a fun Beaujolais party. Menu is as follows:
Julienas: Frog Legs with Spicy Garlic Butter.
Morgon: Croquettes de Canard with Cherry Mustard and Foie Gras.
Cote de Brouilly: Soft Scrambled Duck Eggs with Black Trumpet Mushrooms.
Moulin a Vent: Bavette Steak with Beaujolaise sauce and Pomme Aligot.
Beaujolais: Beaujolais Poached Pear.
$100/person wine pairings included.
