The newest restaurant of Jose Andres, well known chef, by the restaurant and world culinary community, opening soon, at 110 N. Wacker Drive. This combination representing the two-Michelin star Chef Andres and Gibson’s Restaurant Group creates an authentic culinary experience. Chef Jose Andres and his team are offering a unique Spanish influenced menu from cured, or raw meat to seafood, along with delicious small plates to enjoy and share. The decor and it’s ambiance is matching the unique styles of the culinary delights and will be one of the hot spots to visit. CUI will be there to assist with your reservations.

Christkindlmarket

Christkindlmarket is celebrating it’s 25th anniversary at two locations this year: Daley Plaza and Wrigleyville. This German-style outdoor market provides a unique shopping experience, cheerful live entertainment, and original food and beverages like the imported mulled wine from Germany, called Glühwein. Many unique features make the Christkindlmarket a preferred and popular destination. The Christkindlmarket will be open at Daley Plaza from November 19th – December 24th and Wrigleyville on November 19th – December 31st.

U.S. Navy Blue Angels Air Show: Saturday, August 21 and Sunday, August 22
The City of Chicago presents the U.S. Navy Blue Angels on Saturday, August 21 and Sunday, August 22 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. They will be performing along the Lakefront between Oak Street and Fullerton Avenue. The event will be free and the best viewing locations along the lakefront are between Oak Street and Fullerton Avenue.
The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will have practice runs on Friday, August 20, between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.

The Art Institute of Chicago

The Art Institute will reopen its doors on February 11th to visitors with limited capacity.
The Monet and Chicago exhibition is now extended through June 14th and Bisa Butler: Portraits exhibit will also be available for viewing through September 6th. Both exhibits were recent additions when the museum closed in November due to state mitigations.

For the Love of Lyric Concert
September has always meant the opening of a new season at Lyric, and though we can’t be together for live performances this fall, Lyric is excited to present a free virtual concert from the stage of the Lyric Opera House.
The starry lineup is led by world-renowned soprano Renée Fleming and features special guests, including Tony Award® and Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter-actress Heather Headley, soprano Ailyn Pérez, bass Soloman Howard, and mezzo-soprano and Ryan Opera Center alumna J’Nai Bridges, with Doug Peck serving as music director. Members of The Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Opera Center Ensemble and members of the Chicago Children’s Choir will also perform in this enlightening and entertaining program of familiar and revelatory selections from the worlds of opera, Broadway, popular music, and some surprising sources.
