After CUI was established, and as the role of the executive secretary became less common, Ms. Pierce’s innovative offering of the corporate concierge proved to be an invaluable extension of the corporate office place. Executives from companies such as USG, Standard Oil, Smith Barney, Phipps & Associates and Fifeld Companies found value the unique offering and exceptional service which was nimble enough to alternate from securing front row seats to a sold out performance to finding the rarest of wine vintages to planning a last-minute executive golf excursion.
In 2001, as the call for personalization and revitalized customer service efforts was echoed across C-suite executives, CUI introduced Customer Service Representatives (CSR’s). Professionally trained CSR’s were equipped to offer a level of hospitality unique to guest reception while also offering building management added awareness and security in a post 9/11 environment. Clients including AON Center, AT&T Corporate Center, USG Tower and the Citicorp Building were enthusiastic first clients.
Ms. Pierce extended her concierge service to the real estate industry – serving as an added luxury amenity for residential developments and providing executive relocation services.
Personal memberships remain a considerable portion of the business – from overly busy executives to self-made, retired entrepreneurs enjoying the fruits of their labor.
Ms. Pierce explains, “When I started this company, I intentionally added the word Unlimited to the name. At the time, it referred to the range of service we offered. It also represents the breadth and depth of the connections and resources we use to serve our clients. We’ve been successful because the need for high-detail service never subsides – across every industry and any company, large or small – we are dedicated, loyal professionals and always At Your Service.”
